Apitrade Ltd. is a company established in 1991 whose main business is processing and trade exclusively with natural Bulgarian bee honey. We offer our customers all honey types harvested in our country – Acacia, Polyflora, Coriander, Sunflower, Lime tree honey, Forest honey, Rape honey. At Apitrade we use a large variety of packages in their type and size in order to satisfy the needs of both of the end consumer and of the clients from the industry.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Currently Apitrade is one of the largest honey packers and suppliers of Bulgarian bee honey. We process 100% pure honey, which is harvested in different regions of our country. The company operates both on the local market and for export, offering a wide range of different packaging types – for the end consumer and for the businesses.

CERTIFICATES

The company has successfully implemented and maintains the IFS v.6 and ISO 9001:2008 standards and has all the certificates and licenses for selling on the Bulgarian and International markets.

OUR CUSTOMERS

We have long-term partnerships with international retailers which operate on the Bulgarian market and also clients from abroad. Our production is exported to many countries accross Europe and Asia.

Quality

The honey we use is purchased directly from beekeepers from all regions of Bulgaria after strict quality control and laboratory analysis that are carried out in our in-house laboratory and also in the internationally recognized laboratories in Europe. The process of liquefaction, filtration and packing of the honey are carried out in full compliance with the Bulgarian and European legislation, which guarantees the preservation of all unique qualities of this natural and precious product.

Organoleptic characteristics – mildly intensive colour, strong aroma, with slower or faster crystallization depending on its content, with average sweetness.

Pollen characteristics – high quantity of various pollen.

Organoleptic characteristics – non-crystallizing (because of the high fructose content), light colour and specific thin aroma.

Pollen characteristics – low total quantity of pollen beads, the percentage content of acacia pollen out of the total pollen quantity is also relatively low (28,1 % on average, minimum 7,0 % and maximum 59,5 %).

Pollen characteristics – low pollen content, the percentage content of lime-tree pollen out of the total pollen quantity is 45% on average (from 30% to 60%).

The manna is produced by a large number of sucking insects on a variety of coniferous and deciduous trees.

Organoleptic characteristics – dark to very dark intensive colour with a greenish shade, specific aroma, average sweetness, high acidity, slow crystallization, thick consistence due to the low water content.

Colour – from light yellow to dark brown;

Taste – sweet with sometimes light sour or bitter taste;
Consistence – liquid, thick half-crystallized or crystallized mass;

Healing application – Due to the high content of microelements the manna honey is suitable for people with anemia. It is also used for healing of the upper breathing channels – coughs, bronchitis. The manna honey is a terrific anti- anemia cure, it strengthens the heart muscle and the immune system, and protects from haemorrhages in the brain and in the eye retina.
